We have an beautiful small farm in the Birken valley, near Pemberton surrounded by mountains, rivers , waterfalls, and lakes. We farm garlic, flowers, herbs, berries, fruit trees, chickens and of course some veggies too. We have a cute, rustic, clean little cabin on the property with it's own bathhouse . Wonderful fresh meals... We are only 45mins north of Whistler (3hrs from Vancouver). There is great hiking in the close area. Your own transportation is helpful but not necessary as there is no public transportation. Odd jobs around the farm include small construction projects, planting, weeding, picking fruit, mulching, feeding chickens, helping with the farmer's markets, etc ... Whatever your skills and interests are we can find a project for you. One - three week stays, all meals included, four-five hours of work a day expected, usually with afternoons free for your leisure. Couples welcome.

We are originally a family of 6, I, Carina, my four daughters and my husband, Pär. Since last year all girls have, more or less, left home for further studies. My beloved Pär died three years ago after a long time with sickness. We started to welcome HelpXers to our Uddevalla home seven years ago and since then we have met so many interesting, wonderful, helpful, caring and skilled people - men and women, boys and girls, who in different ways have helped us with various practical matters, but also contributed to increase our understanding of the world and letting us become their friends - in many cases, I believe, for life! I have promised Pär to keep and care for his old home in Grundsund and it is my hope to be able to. We have, therefore, two properties to welcome you to! We offer accommodation (your own room) in one of our two homes, food and friendship in exchange for some practical help. Both indoor and outdoor help is needed and you should be prepared to do some household wo...

March/ April season 2024 ** Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors!!! Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, douglas firs, maples and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking/ walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos are of my house area or looking downwards at the river which is acc...

Hey! I live alone in the countryside with my daughter, two dogs and two guinea pigs. Lives in a large house with several outbuildings and approximately 4 hectares of land. By next year, I hope to get chickens and continue to grow organic vegetables. There is a lot to do on my farm, partly growing but also helping to renovate. In march a litter with 4 lovely puppys were born on the farm. Im looking for someone that can stay from the end of march to the end of april. If it sounds interesting you are welcome to send me an email and tell a little bit about yourself. I will do my best to make you feel like you are one in the family here. If your interested in this type of work, send me an email! You live with me as one in the family and have your own room. That means also that you clean, cook and take care of the basic work in a household. To see more pictures from my farm you can find me on instagram. search for lillakarlstorp

Hey beautiful people, please check our current projects and dates in the end of the text :) what to say? Since we travelled ourselves for about two years, making a bunch of good experiences with volunteering, we dreamed about finding our own little piece of land, hosting great people from all around the world and doing inspiring projects together. And now we did it! But let me give you some facts about all. Farmer and me Marta live as a couple in a tiny little village out of nowhere in the middle of Germany. We bought an almost ancient house (about 280 years), which is in a quite good condition and was renovated with a lot of passion and only natural materials by the previous owners. The whole property has 1200m² so we have some garden, which should be turned it into a little paradise using organic principles. We are interested in permaculture, but we are far away to be professionals in any of this subjects. It's more a trial and error thing we are doing :) We try to grow a lot of d...

This is a construction project that believes in creating positive change by using sustainable methods and newly invented building materials and procedures. Our project has been underway for over a decade and through the process we have had the opportunity to present a transformative experience for individuals who want to work on not only bringing the building and environment to a higher place, but to also bring themselves to a higher place. We provide and encourage all who come to volunteer to participate in meditation groups and seminars, yoga practices, healthy eating options (all of the food here is provided for you!), and make strong and lasting relationships with everyone who lives here! We are looking for help in carpentry, mechanical, electrical, fiber cable installation, tiling, masonry, and drywall. If you have any experience in any of these construction areas we would greatly appreciate the skills and expertise to help us to build our sustainability foundation. Experience in...

Greetings Weary Travellers! I WOULD PREFER HELPERS WHO ARE 25 TO 40 YEARS OLD, PERHAPS, BUT NOT NECESSARILY, WITH SKILLS IN CONSTRUCTION, ELECTRICAL OR ABLE TO HANDLE GAS POWERED EQUIPMENT FOR GARDENING. We are situated on 22 acres with spectacular views of the countryside-just one hour north of Toronto by car and accessible by GO train or GO bus to Orangeville where I can pick you up. There are three bedrooms available to helpers decorated as India, the Mediterranean or the Commonwealth, with two single beds in each (or king size bed) and great views. Each room has indoor and outdoor access. There is a lower room leading to the garden just for helpers to read, view videos and play games. Laundry available as well. Now a picture perfect bunkie for 2 or 3 is available, thanks to the hard work of helpers. Most recently, we have added a small private ZEN room for peace or meditation. There is an indoor salt water pool (available late June to October), pool table, archery, basketbal...

I am an active female that finds myself on a 100+ acre hobby farm in my retirement. For many years I worked as a driving evaluator in a Toronto hospital, evaluating the potential for people to learn or resume driving post illness or injury. My hobbies are food preservation, machine quilting and sewing... and our animals of course. I am heavy into clicker training having worked with such notables as Gary Wilkes, Karen Pryor and Carolyn Clarke back in the day. All our animals have been successfully trained using the clicker method. :) My faith is central to who I am. I believe it is best expressed by what I do and how I care for both humans and animals and I am always up for a chat about how I see the world and my/our responsibilities within it. Beauty isn't about how one looks or appears, but more about how one treats others. A good and generous heart is everything. :) There are 2 homes here in the farm. My daughter and her husband live in the main farmhouse with their young Great Dan...

Welcome to our home! We live in a house of tree flores and beautiful garden. A very peaceful, warm and beautiful place. 10 minutes by foot from station, centre town and lake of LOCARNO (CH) We live at the first floor: me, my husband and our three children (age 10, 8 and 2). At home we speak italian and swiss german. But we'd love to speach french as well since the children learn it at school. We are very simple and happy people. I need a women helper all through the year that is ready to share her life with our family: someone who cooks, washes, cleans, helps with different jobs outdoor in the garden, indoor and with my little girl. We are passionate Christians and evangelists. We organize meetings for children and go out in the streets to contact people. If you are an artist or you like to speak with people about Jesus (german or italian speaking christians are required) please tell us ;) But of course, we like to welcome all people, you don't have to be a Christian to come to our...

Hi to all those interested. This year, we will be able to have somebody helping us in May.June July and September. The house is full from July 25th to septembre !. If you choose to stay with us, you will live in an old priory with foundations dating back to the XIIth century, in the middle of the countryside. Village 2kms away and small town (Falaise, 10,000 inhabitants) 6kms away. We can provide a bike. There is a small lake and a wood quite near for nature lovers. We need help to maintain the property. We have an organic garden that takes us a lot of time. There is always some maintenance work to be done : housework, painting, weeding, gardening, trimming hedges and trees, moving stuff from the barn (my husband's workshop !). IN THE SPRING, WE NEED HELP IN THE GARDEN mainly. That entails a lot of tedious weeding... Also some basic masonry work to be done on an anciens wall. Accommodation is provided in the main building you have your own room and shower. 3 meals a day. We exp...

We need volunteers for lambing season mid-may until mid of June! Come help us (preferably for a full month) lamb all of our sheep and experience the wonders of life! Assist over 500 sheep in giving birth and bottle feed tiny little lambs and all the other disgusting and cute things that go along with it. Lambing season is hard work and we work in shifts of 9 hours, but with 5-10 volunteers living in the house you’ll have time for fun in the sun, 2 days off each week with a household shift (cooking and cleaning). Lambing truly is a once in a lifetime experience and a great opportunity to learn about farming, sheep, and Iceland in general. The shifts are long, the days are longer, but a rewarding and satisfying experience is waiting for you! Message us on WhatsApp or on HelpX. My WhatsApp number is also listed on the helpX. Send me (Caroline, who runs the helpX) a message! Or message the farmer directly via Facebook. Alexander Flumbri is the Facebook account, named after Beggi the farm...

Kia ora guys, We live in a small west coast beach village about 35-40 minutes from central Auckland called Muriwai Beach. It is one of NZ`s most stunning and wildest beaches. We have a half acre section that always needs little things doing and the house is slowly being worked on as well so experience in building or skilled labour is always cool as well as people who like to work in the gardens and landscape. We have a daughter who is 11 years old who loves playing in the outdoors, tending her veggie garden and meeting people from all over the world. If you like the beach and the wild west coast then I`m sure you will love it out here. I work in the television and film industry while my partner is a a musician. Drop us a line and tell us a bit about yourself and maybe you can come out and share some of the magic that we feel living here. Cheers. Toby, Moana and Manawanui.

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables and fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the winter months. We love company of other people, and love having visitors. There would be plenty of chances to be alone, if that is what one is looking for. We are both retired teachers that would be happy to help you improve your knowledge of English. We offer homestay experience. We can lend you a bicycle to do your own exploring, you can hike, take a bus or train to go further afield. We also like to explore the area and show it to our visitors. We are located 10km from Spain. We have fibre internet. We would cook together or take turns (so make sure you can cook some interesting vegetarian dish...

We are inviting you to come and stay and help with the building and running of a 3 acre smallholding, a 1.5 acre orchard, and 212 acres of pristine rainforest in a remote area of Belize. You can find below the bullet points for the overall project. For now, we need people to help with the smallholding and the orchard, and the daily running of the place, including gardening, some farming, some building, care of the animals (many chickens, ducks, guys, turkeys, some sheep, some goats, two milking cows). Over the next few months, we are planning to do some more building (a wooden cabin on stilts, a clay oven from local clay, and the further development of our 40-ft container and porch, where our solar system, electrics and fibre-optic Internet connection are located. If you have any kind of skills with sustainable, simple building, that is a preferred bonus. You need to be comfortable living primitively. Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Thank you for visiting the profile of our project where we are happy to provide a safe and productive environment to host helpers: Seeking minimum 3 weeks to 1 month commitment. We prefer longer term but will also take shorter term if you have extraordinary skills of some sort. Our farm is 1 hectare sea-front hobby farm project on Isla Colon, located approximately half way between town and Bluff Beach. This project entails gardening, trimming, planting, weeding, starting new plants, and several tasks such as building trellises, building raised beds, other light building, painting, trail building, artistic painting, mosaic etc. For the last 25 years we have been zero waste, and have an assortment of recycled things to fix, upcycle, transform etc. We just built a little glass work studio, where we are learning to make fused glass and stained glass. We have build our second pond and could use some help in the design and initial plumbing of two waterfalls. Most of of the property has bee...

Hi=) We are a fun, friendly household in the sunny Bay of Plenty! I'm a Drama & English teacher and Blair is an electrician. My husband and I have 2 fun, adventurous girls, we also have a puppy and cat. We enjoy biking, baking, board games and picnics at the beach, amongst other things. We would love to host people who are honest, friendly, independent, hard-workers and are interested in meeting new people and enjoying what Tauranga has to offer. In exchange for 4 hours work per day, you will receive free accomodation, meals and wifi. Work includes domestic-type chores; mainly cleaning, cooking and possibly baby-sitting - helps if you like children and animals. We have a cat and puppy. It is definitely easier if you have a car, although buses are available from here. We had a homestay from China for a year who found his way round on the buses fine but it does take a while. Happy for any amount of time e.g.:1-2 days or weeks stay but prefer an extended period. Look forward to meetin...

Hello, my name is Maja. I live off grid on my land in Portugal since 15 years. I built a strawbale kley hobbit house , all natural and unique, and made nice garden around it. The place is rather remote, very pacefull and quiet, on the hills 2 km off road from the village of Barao Sao Miguel , 15 km from the beautifull city of Lagos and 8 km from the Atlantic ocean. I offer an independent , little caravan with double bed , good for one person or a couple.. I look for somebody who could stay longer term, also for looking after the place in July while i am not here. I need help in the garden , some basic carpintery , painting, dog and cats feeding while i am away :)

I want someone who is easy to talk to and has a good sense of humor. With Covid-19, it is good to have a consistent circle of friends. Because of this, I'm looking for at least a 3-month or more extended stay. The longer, the better if everything is working well. Both Kim and I have received the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine so we can offer you a virus-free environment. I want this to be a family/friend environment where we help and support each other. I'm very political and lean towards the left. Bruce (me from San Francisco), Kim (my wife from Hamburg), Bennett (my service dog from CCI), Edna (Kim's favorite cat from the Humane Society), and Scarlet (the cautious cat from the crazy cat lady). in addition there is a puppy in training to be a service animal.. So if you're interested in coming out to the San Francisco bay area, then I might be that person for you. Of course, I would like to know more about you and how you think. Kim and I want you to feel like this is your home while you are ...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, 4-5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is to be ex...

Mark is a production manager at Air New Zealand and I home school Grace (formally a mental health nurse and volunteer coordinator for the local food bank). We live on 20 acres of land with cows, sheep, chickens, a rabbit, a budgie, two cats (Squeak and Sophie) Wilson the dog and three horses called Kalia, Frosty, and Jed. Accommodation is in your own warm and cosy cabin with toilet (just a few metres from the house) Lots of lovely walks nearby. All meals provided (healthy, tasty and nutritious) and in exchange, we'd like some help with gardening and perhaps a bit of painting and cleaning (4 hours per day, and the day off on Sundays 🙂) The town centre has a library, large supermarket, farmer's market, banks, post office, pharmacy, gift shops and cafes and bars etc. Biking distance to the beach (3 kms) and local...

Space available in May and June. Not much availability for month of July. Our house looks look out to the bush and mountains. We do not see any houses from our house. We are near the small village of Ikamatua. Great area for walking, biking and trout fishing. We can easily say yes to one person. At this stage the house only has one spare room that has a single bed so not suitable for a couple. We do not host more than one person. We have working 5 farm dogs. 2 pig hunting dogs, 1 cat, and a horse. Our next available dates are around 6th May. We live on a 1000ha sheep and deer farm about 30 minute drive to Greymouth. (Big farm) One of my biggest enjoyments is showing others what we cook for dinner and then sitting down and eating as a family. We enjoy sharing stories and laughs over a cup of tea. We can explain a few aspects of farming if you are interested in knowing more. We like talking while having a cup of tea. We have 27 great reviews of past help x people over ma...

Help with our nature-based, off-grid healing retreat on the Blackdown Hills, East Devon/Somerset UK We're looking for someone, possibly a couple, ideally looking for a longer placement of 1-months+, who enjoys working outside, is happy working with me, is motivated working on their own and, has a broad manual skills set around building. Satori is a stunning rural location, full of nature. As a retreat, there are not always people to 'hang out' with so, you'll need to be ok keeping your own company. It's a great place to let go of the outside world. That said, I'm around most days and, if you want to integrate somewhat in to my life, you'll be welcome to join me on walks, explore the local area, meet my friends etc. I strive to make things happen at least once a week. I'm also fine if you'd rather get on and do your own thing. That said, it would be good to share at least one meal a week together, hopefully more!!...and share cooking. Basically, I'm open minded and quite easy going...

We plan to expand the area so we will need help with fencing, small building projects as well as helping with feeding and cleaning the dog cage.

** We have availability from mid-May to mid-June **. We have been fully vaccinated and will welcome helpers who have also been fully vaccinated. My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills. There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. On your days off, we will gladly take you to Newmarket to catch the train/bus to Toronto. We can do the cooking but are happy to share the cooking, and will welcome any specialties you may have. We do not cook vegan or gluten free. If you are vegan or gluten free, then you should probably look for a different host. Also please note that this is also a no smoking, no vaping and no drugs home, ...

You will have the possibility to learn the whole spectrum of organic regenerative agr...

Accommodation is in your own warm and cosy cabin with toilet (just a few metres from the house) Lots of lovely walks nearby.

Come and experience northern Sweden with us! We are looking for two people to help out in the husky kennel for the summer season. We plan to expand the area so we will need help with fencing, small building projects as well as helping with feeding and cleaning the dog cage. Grass clipping and weeding can also be needed, so one needs to be comfortable working outside. We are looking for two people that work well together and who are eager to experience something new. We are situated close to a village in the northern part of Sweden, not far from the Finnish border. We offer seasonal outdoors activities such as biking in the summer and snowshoeing and dogsledding in the winter. We have a small 12 dog husky kennel on the property that we need help with such as feeding and exercising, so you need to love dogs! We are looking for reliable, flexible, easy going dog lovers. We prefer stays between 2 weeks to 1 month. Don’t hesitate to contact us if this sounds interesting. :) Susanne & ...
