Please note that our community was badly affected by Cyclone Gabrielle in 2023 so our road and tramping tracks are compromised. However we still welcome you to our lovely environment,. We are a friendly household with a bit of a chaotic lifestyle at times but really enjoy meeting people from other countries and are very flexible. We are an older couple who are currently not able to do much maintenance very easily around our property so we really value your help! I am not as mobile as I used to be after serious injuries in a road crash Easter 2022 - not caused by me! My husband has Parkinson's which means he can no longer do a lot of practical tasks. We greatly appreciate help with general maintenance including gardening, clearing weeds, firewood and household/backyard tasks as well as helping with the ponies. There are also three cats and a neglected vegetable garden. Experience in using a weed-eater and a chainsaw would be helpful but not essential. We ask for up to four hours a da...

I'm Thanasis, a 55 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Kia Ora and hi Help-x helpers, We're Chris and Meri. We live on a little farm with some beautiful rural views, native birds & bush and a beautiful little stream that runs through the property where we're gradually restoring the natural environment protecting native habitat, birds and animals. We're interested in wildlife, in all of nature generally, particularly keen on Australasian birds (Australian, NZ and South Pacific Islands) and we're involved from time to time with bird conservation and ornithological projects. We run a little flock of South Suffolk Sheep, we have free Range Brown Shaver Chickens, some Khaki Campbell Ducks (perfect eggs for baking!), a pair of rare Cape Barren Geese, we have a few Bee hives and we also have a little fruit tree Orchard etc. We enjoy cooking and sharing good food (and favourite recipes) with others and your stay wouldn't be complete without experiencing a few of Meri's traditional yummy Indonesian styled dishes. We share making meals together...

Room currently unavailable, sorry. It's me (Michael) and my two girls - 2 and 5. They are quirky, messy and fun; quite free-range. I am a Kindergarten teacher for the last six years and now teach a bit of everything in a local private school. We live in a modest house with a backyard, close to the beach. You will have a basic room with an ensuite to stay in. Bargara is a sleepy beach town, a bit too quiet for some - but we love it! The turtle watching and whale watching are popular touristy things around our area. I'll happily take you for a little tour around. Overseas travel isn't possible for us right now. I love the idea of my girls experiencing a culture exchange and having a nice garden to spend their time in. We need some help with Gardening, mainly. If you are happy to weed and water the garden during your stay that would be perfect - if you can clean (always plenty of that to do) and cook or contribute in another way we can try it out and just see how it goes. We are ne...

We live in a river valley just outside Palmerston North, in the Manawatu area, and we are about 15km from town. We have a large family home on a small 'lifestyle' farm with sheep, cows, horses, chickens, ducks, dogs, & cat. There is a lovely swimming hole in the river just below the house, and we make our own power. We are off-grid. Our extended family & friends live near by. There are almost always farming, fencing, building, home made power, gardening, weeding & tree planting activities to be done. We are also currently painting our house & building a workshop. We love talking to you and trying your cooking, and Sue loves to paint & draw & make music with you -we also enjoy playing games & have some great movies:-)

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway., it is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper.I only take Non-smokers( meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well.) I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house.,such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can help out that would be great. My photos are of local scenery and attractions such as the Railway station, Hume weir and there are a lot of c...

We are looking for up to 2 people to help feed cattle and sheep, and a handyman that would like to do some building work. We have approximately 2000 hectares of undulating country, situated in the middle of New South Wales. We run sheep, cattle, and do some farming. We run approximately 1500 sheep, which need lamb marking and shearing. With the cattle we have mustering and yard work. We also have daily feeding of calves and lambs. The bee hives need some attention, eg extracting honey, moving boxes around, cleaning area. We also have chickens and turkeys, which need attention daily and working dogs to be cared for. With fencing and building we also need help. We have composting, vegetable garden and fruit trees. When it rains we need help with our grain farming. Currently we need help with cutting fire wood around the property, this will consist of 3 to 4 hours per day and can help get you some pocket money and also experience the land. I also have bee hives that need some attention a...

Welcome HelpX-guests. I know that the world has changed things for overseas visitors, but here at the beach life continues to roll along like the constant tides and surf. I am your host, Darwin, and I live on a 21 ha rural life-style property on the wild West Coast, just 15 km south-west of Te Kopuru (see map) and Dargaville (Northland). I had a career in medical and scientific research, and was a medical school professor for nearly 25 years. Now I spend my time doing artworks in clay, bronze metal and wood. I am happy to host HelpX workers/guests that are capable of supervised and/or unsupervised outdoor work on the property that would include brush clearance, earthwork building trails to the beach, and general outdoor works (house painting) and some housework (spring cleaning). I have a great workshop for artwork if you are interested in this during your leisure time. I expect HelpX guests to be gay-friendly or gay-accepting (because that is who I am), and I offer a very safe ...

We have a vacancy at the moment, so feel free to contact us if you’re interested in coming out to the country and exploring farm life? You will have a unique experience here, and many different opportunities to do things you may not get to do anywhere else! Suitable for a couple as we have a queen room available in our home, and there would be days when we are at work and not here, so it may be better to be with a friend. Please note, if we contact you, it would be greatly appreciated if you could please reply, even if you’re not interested, as we would rather know, and may be waiting on your response to organise other helpers. Thank you 😊 Happy for people who love animals and outside work to contact us. Also looking for some farm and house work help too. We try to grow everything that we eat so we have an extensive veggie garden and orchard if you like working in nature! If you like soccer (football) then there are two kids here who will love to kick a ball around! There may also...

***Looking for a roofer or someone who has experience with fixing roofs. It's a single storey flat roof*** We running an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. And we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. And we love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7.30 am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dog and work starts at 8.30am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice...

Hi fabulous help-xers! We have an opportunity for a couple, or a small group of helpx to come for a week, or two weeks at a time. We have a lodge that was severely damaged by the cyclone in February, but we are back up and running and hosting groups for accommodation, weddings etc. We are trying to keep up with gardening and maintenance of both the lodge and our own home as I have been overseeing the re-build/gardening at the lodge. We are a family of five running a sheep and beef farm in Rissington, just out of Napier. (three children aged 8, 10 and 12) We have comfortable accommodation with your own large King bedroom and bathroom, that would suit an energetic, couple, or one/two motivated people travelling together who are keen to help with getting our beautiful riverside accommodation business up and running whilst learning about our culture and family along the way! You will stay and help cook meals for our family whilst having the opportunity to go out and explore the beauti...

Yes, we are looking for you if you are between the ages of 16 to 30 ish. Welcome to our page and education program :) By applying for a place here at the farm you will automatically become a friend. This is due to a change in UK law. Next place available end of August. As a friend of Jonathan you will be welcome to come and stay and help to make the farm a better place. In return you will be part of our education program and learn life skills. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. ...

Thanks for visiting our page.. I look forward to the possibility of hosting you :) My family has recently moved to a riverside farm property. We live here with chickens, geese, bunny rabbits, ducks and two cats! We are in the beginning stages of planning and implementing a small productive farm based upon a mix of permaculture, biodynamics, regenerative agriculture and land for wildlife. We live in a sub-tropical, unique area of regional NSW, on the East Coast, at Upper Orara which is close to Coffs Harbour and its beaches. We need some help with variety of projects, cleaning and cooking, also possibly some childcare. It is envisioned that you would like being a part of family life while you are here. At our new riverfront 1 acre home there are permaculture projects, art projects, painting projects, furniture up cycling projects, garden preparation and design etc. Bring your own skills and experience to the situation eg yoga classes, build a mud brick oven, mosaic project ...

Hello I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

We, Matthias and Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s, and met here in NZ, so our home language is German. We are now a family with 8 children - 3 still living at home (1 of them home-schooling, 2 working). Our oldest son with his wife and 4 young boys have moved back onto our property, - they are now living in our cottage. Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chicken, 8 sheep and a few goat bucks, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove are also part of our little paradise. Amazingly, though situated just off SH1, our place affords a cosy sense of privacy, as it nestles behind an old pine-tree shelter belt and is lined with a shelter belt of poplar trees along the rest of its border. The township of Amberley is 5 min away by car or 20 min by bicycle, where you can do all essential shopping, go to t...

The farm is located at vereda; San Pedro, which is part of Tamesis Antioquia Colombia. If there is a place on earth that gets close to paradise, this could be it. Mountains, rivers, colorful birds and flowers. The farm is located 20 minutes walking from the main road. This means not many people are aware of the place yet and total tranquility can be enjoyed here. The farm has a wide variety of projects on which volunteers could help. From taking care of all the animals (chickens, cows, fish, black soldier flies) of the farm, the cultivation of pineapple, sugar cane, cacao, papaya, onion, tomatoes, and much more, building new constructions of guadua, to reactivate the old hydro power plant. The farm is owned by Don Silvio and his family. Their idea is to turn this potential place into an ecological touristic attraction where visitors can be shown how to cultivate in the purest biological way and how to grow protein (fish, pork and chicken) with organic waste. The volunteers will be offe...

I am Thelma, originally from The Netherlands, and after living in England and Germany I moved to New Zealand 21 years ago.

On-going projects include weeding, mulching, trimming branches and shrubs, etc. Presently, we hope for help with weeding and mulching. Thoughtfulness and respect are very important. Non-smokers.

We are Louise, Prashant, Ivy, Alba and Inka (puppy). We are looking for someone to help with cooking, housework and gardening. Currently, we both work 9 days a fortnight - Prashant as a software developer while Louise is working for State Government. We previously travelled before having kids and enjoy making friends from all over the world. We both also enjoy dancing and being active. We have a busy life taking the girls to school and childcare and other activities like gymnastics, swimming, choir, dance classes. We would like 3 hours of help per day in return for accommodation and meals. We are flexible with hours and jobs. The work will be cooking the evening meal each night (most nights if possible) and general housework/cleaning and maybe garden work such as mowing the lawn and weeding. We offer a room with a Queen size bed, however this room is also used during the day time (8.30am to 5pm) as a home office. Our house is less than 1 minute from a bus stop and about 15-20 min...

I never regretted this decision and love living here.I live on a 5-acre life style block in the Matakana Coast Area, one hour north of Auckland, 3 minutes away from Martins Bay beach. This is a great area to explore with the popular Matakana farmers market, Goat Island marine reserve, Tawharanui Regional Park and great restaurants, cafés, vinyards and Leigh Sawmill cafe for gigs. I have three small dogs and a big organic garden. I offer a brand new private and comfortable cottage with a grand view (see pictures). This self-contained house has a living room/kitchen, bedroom with queen size bed and separate bathroom. Furthermore there is WIFI, TV,, a dishwasher, clothes dryer, oven and fridge/freezer. I work from home and often have virtual meetings either early morning or early evening. For this reason, I ask helpers to cook for themselves. The kitchen has basic ...
